Comments : Presumed hybrid pale-bellied X Dark-bellied Brent Goose Webb's field Kilcoole this afternoon. This bird was first found and photographed by Jan Rod, January 2019 in Dublin, and again in Dublin by Sean Gearty, January 2021. This bird is ringed with a white darvic ring on the right leg and a black darvic ring on the left leg. I suspect this is the same bird I had flying south towards Kilcoole this morning, because I did not see an adult dark-bellied in the Kilcoole flock. Possible 'Grey-bellied brant goose' also in Webb's field this afternoon. Dark grey under parts and darker upper parts than hrota present and really is eye catching even at a distance. I suspect this is a bird that was also photographed by Sean Gearty in Dublin back in January and is a perhaps a female bird. It also appears to have an injured leg. Photos 1 to 5 are hybrid others grey-bellied type.
