Hybrid Northern x Hen Harrier. For the last two seasons a male Northern Harrier has interbred with a female Hen Harrier at an undisclosed location in Clare.
The pair have successfully raised five young during these two seasons and the young have scattered to all corners of the island.
The bird at SAL today is believed to be one of this years offspring. (JNM).
