Juvenile. The bird was first picked up from the east end car park, standing with a small gull flock c300m away, unfortunately, viewed against the sun. After a few minutes preening it took off, alone, landed over on the Patch but almost immediately took off again and then drifted back and forth high over the farmland to the north of the lake, before eventually flying toward the White Hole and dropping, out of view. Relocated in a stubble-field 500m NW of the White Hole with a flock of c100 large gulls, mostly Herrings.
