Comments : I found the healthy-looking Little Auk swimming along close in alive and feeding well . . . Video Link @ https://flic.kr/p/2mXs9aw . . . While we were doing a sea watch, I spotted a very small bird in the water close to shore, I was staring at it for a few moments in disbelief before letting out a yell to my companions, Tom & Paul, "I've got a Little Auk". I dare not to take my eyes off it, I started to describe where it was in relation to other things close by, which was pretty hard when the only other objects in my view were rocks and water. While anxiously waiting for Tom or Paul to get on to it, I noticed what looked like another two Little Auks in the corner of my view, and let out another yell "I've got three now", just as Tom got onto one. I swung my binos looking for the other two, which I could not find again, as Tom stated he thought it was just seaweed I had seen. Thinking hard, did I see them or not, when Paul was still asking for directions, I decided to help relocate my bird. Later, on our drive home, we learned that there were up to four Little Auks found dead in the same area, which made me believe that I had seen three Little Auks and not just one. The reason why I changed my sighting count. . . . . . http://www.irishbirding.com/birds/web/Display/sighting/150586/Little_Auk.html . . . . . http://www.irishbirding.com/birds/web/Display/sighting/150540/Little_Auk.html
