| Comments : |
Despite the death of one Female Great Spotted Woodpecker as reported, the male has continued drumming and visiting peanut feeder. I can hear its distinctive call from the kitchen with window open. Drumming has diminished considerably. Sometimes the bird takes a whole peanut and eats it on nearby perch, returning to feeder. Generally the male feeds continuously on feeder.
