I picked it up arriving from the NW with a flock of around 20 Redshank at 8.20 pm, when they settled in the middle of the lake, off Stony Point. After ten minutes or so all the birds on the lake were 'spooked' and the Redshank flock, with the (calling!) Terek, relocated to the sluice area. Five minutes later everything got up again and this time the flock went down at the very top of forgotten corner, having passed over my and Victor's head on the way. We had reasonably good views of it up there but as dusk approached the entire flock got up and disappeared somewhere to the W of the sluice. 6th Irish and 1st site record
